Apex's Blades are manufactured to ensure high productivity and excellent chip quality. These knives are ground to tolerances to ensure uniformity in chip size. The abrasive effect of the wood and wood chips wears down the counter knives and wear plates thereby affecting the chip length. Hence high wear resistance is very important for these parts. Chipper Knives & components from 8% Cr Steel give better grinding intervals, wear resistance and performance. Optional Cryogenic Treatment further extends the durability and grinding intervals.  Chipper Knives from 5% Cr Steel are designed to maximize value based on customers quality and price expectations.
